Please introduce yourself. What are your role and responsibilities?
I’m a Product Designer with over 7 years of experience in the web design industry. Throughout my career, I have worked at various sizes of companies, from non-profits to digital agencies, and have had different degrees of responsibility. My responsibilities included conducting user research and usability testing, creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs, as well as conducting design critiques and providing feedback to other designers. I’m also responsible for collaborating with developers, project managers, and other cross-functional teams. As a product designer, it's important for me to stay updated with the latest design trends and best practices in the industry. Uxcel proved to be very helpful in this regard.
How did you get started in UX design? What was your career path?
I began my career in communications and project management, which I studied for my Master's degree. However, I soon discovered my passion for analysis and creation, which led me to specialize in UX/UI design and earn a Bachelor's degree in the field. I started my professional career as a freelancer, working with a digital company.
How did you first find Uxcel?
I discovered Uxcel through a designer friend who sent me what was at the time a weekly challenge about optical illusions. I got hooked then and have never left the platform since!
What do you like most about Uxcel?
I find Uxcel is a fantastic resource for designers of all levels as it provides multiple opportunities to learn about design through games, lessons, assessments, blog articles, and social media posts. With the platform's diverse offerings, you can continue improving your skills even with just 5-10 minutes of daily practice, and you'll never get bored.
Why have you decided to get a Professional UX design certification?
I have decided to obtain a professional UX design certification to demonstrate my skills in a way that most human resources managers can understand. I believe that Uxcel is an excellent resource for achieving this goal. The certification provides visible proof of your expertise and your willingness to grow as a professional.
What benefits your professional certification will bring to you or your company?
So, getting certified is pretty important if I want to show off my skills to future bosses. Plus, it can give me an advantage over other job hunters when the market is crowded. Also, professional certification is not just a one-time thing, either. Keeping my certification up-to-date shows I'm serious about keeping up with the latest knowledge and skills. All in all, getting certified is a smart move for my career that'll pay off in the long run.
How would you summarize your experience and thoughts about Uxcel’s Professional UX Certification?
I had a great experience taking the Product Designer certification exam. Although it was challenging, it was completely worth it. This professional certification provides a good basic assessment of a person's design skills and abilities, and it boosts my confidence in my own skills as well.
