150% salary increase
When I first started my UX journey, we didn't have the luxury of endless resources like today, and even when there were many, finding the right ones to advance my career was a challenge. That's where Uxcel came in. It wasn't just another platform — it was the missing piece. Imagine a place where learning feels like an adventure, where complex concepts become second nature through fun, interactive lessons. That's Uxcel. For me It wasn't just about learning theory — Uxcel offered hands-on opportunities, like building a portfolio, getting peer feedback, and connecting with mentors, all of which helped me grow as a designer. While Uxcel wasn't the only factor in my success, it played a key role in helping me grow into someone who can guide and support other designers in their own journeys. Transitioning from a local to an international role, with a almost 150% salary increase, was an important step for me — but what I value most is that I've become someone who can mentor and uplift others, thanks in part to the experiences I gained through Uxcel.

Uxcel is my favorite way to learn and brush up on design principles. The material is presented in short form cards with a casual exam format, prompting users to thinking criticallly before being presented with additional context and qualifying evidence. The format makes it quite easy to do it a every day, taking just 5 minutes or less to maintian a streak and make measurable progress. There is a great community available through Discord as well.

I quite enjoy the visual way questions are proposed with the short paragraphs following. It helps both me learn, and also junior designs who I work with. I have often shared my screen and gone through a lesson or two to educate a team member on design principles relevant to designs we discuss. The training and education portion of Uxcel is where it truly shines.

I love how bite size the lessons are, the ease of having a desktop and mobile version, the gamification of courses for motivation, and the fantastic resources cited in lessons and for returning to later. I have used Uxcel for several years now and when I was working through most of the courses, I used it daily. It has been wonderful to see my progress accrue over the years and I've been grateful to have this platform within my professional work for upskilling and reference. The job board has also been incredibly useful.

With Uxcel you can get a deep understanding of a wide variety of UX/UI subjects in a fun, interactive way. One of the best things is that the lessons are bite-sized, which makes it easier to comprehend the topic and progress in your education relatively quickly.

Another thing I find valuable about Uxcel is how it gives you a detailed skill graph that depicts your current strong areas and the ones you could improve. Based on this analysis, Uxcel suggests different lessons to help you build on your "weaker" skill.

Pleasant for my ADHD brain. I'm currently doing self-learning and I've struggled with focus. After taking time off and being recently diagnosed with ADHD, I needed a refresher and decided to find a curriculum I can follow and keep up with, so here we are with Uxcel. Uxcel has helped me maintain my interest in all that I'm learning. What makes me feel confident about my learning experience is that they offer different curriculums in which they call, "career paths." Instead of cherry picking and going back and forth through courses, I can effectively work through courses while challenging what I learn with their games, quizzes, and projects. I don't have to feeling like I should be working on something else or as if I'm missing something. Also, measuring my progress with their Skill Graph motivates me to stay on track.

Uxcel played a key role in sharpening my UX research skills, especially when it came to user interviews. Sorting through endless articles and tutorials can feel overwhelming, especially when a lot of it covers things you already know. But Uxcel's bite-sized lessons made it easy to refresh my knowledge and dive deeper into the topics that mattered most to me. I also found the reference links at the end of each lesson really helpful for extra learning. I love everything about Uxcel, its digestable content in lessons and practical and real guidance, short quizzes after every lesson to ensure you have grasped what you have read and this is only the part. And all this for extremely fair price!

The thing I like the most about Uxcel is the variety of courses they have at your disposal, the certificates you can attach to your Linkedin account. A new feature is that in text you're reading they left important words highlighted, so when you hover your mouse on them a pop up appear with a short meaning for that word. As a junior with some experience in the field already, I found that the gamification factor of Uxcel made the learning experience way more rewarding. The platform's integration of game-like elements not only made learning easier but also kept me consistently engaged.

I primarily use the mobile version, and the bookmark functionality has been truly beneficial. It helps me review those pinpointed pieces of new knowledge and apply them to my projects once I return to my PC.

I also really appreciate the fact that on the web full version you can not only learn but access games to polish your designer eye and pixel perfect precision. There's also this awesome skills graphs and assessments and well... there is a lot to do in here. It is really worth it.

Uxcel is a comprehensive and user-friendly resource for learning UI/UX design. It excels in breaking down complex topics and providing clear and robust explanations. This makes it an ideal resource for beginners in the field, who may find free readings on the internet overwhelming.

The material is well-researched and includes visual elements to aid in understanding. The lessons are bite-sized and can be easily incorporated into daily learning. Additionally, the challenges and assessments help to apply the knowledge learned in a practical manner.

The arcade feature is also a unique and effective way to train the brain and eyes to become a designer.

All segments of UI and UX design are well organized into digestible units which are really easy to come back to and find in case you need to refresh your knowledge.

The bite-sized presentation of each topic really helps you go through otherwise complex topics with a small time commitment - for example while commuting in a subway. This means that I can use it as frequently as I want to in small chunks, which other learning platforms don't necessarily allow.

The quality and amount of useful information was staggering at first and it has set a standard for any other form of supplementary learning platform for design I might look for in the future.

The learning platform is easy to digest, doesn't intimidate users with large amounts of copy, broken down into very easy digestible chunks, and aesthetically pleasing/easy to navigate. The tone is conversational which humanises the learning experience, which I found a friction with on other popular UX learning platforms.

The career path section is especially useful to me. I was initially picking and choosing lessons without full confidence on whether it will contribute to my area of work.Areas where I personally feel could improve: The timer on the questions is very short, although the questions are short I feel there isn't a need for a timer, this gives users extra time to evaluate there choice and context provided.

I also feel at times the graphic illustrations do not fully represent the context in which it is used. Stronger examples could be useful especially when thescenario can be used in multiple ways, maybe showcase more examples with a horizontal carousel?

The animated graphic illustrations on the desktop web app are sometimes missed, the video icon is small and easily missed. I sometimes use a screen reader and this is always missed when I do.

Other than the little things above, I'll continue to using this long term. The price point feels affordable to most users too. Can't wait to get use of the other areas on the app. Thanks!
