Uxcel Community Code of Conduct

Last updated: Mar 11, 2024

This Code of Conduct is applicable to all Uxcel community spaces, both online and offline. Violations of this Code may result in sanctions or expulsion from these spaces at the discretion of Uxcel. This is a "living" document and may be refined and expanded in the future.

Additional rules may be in place for specific Uxcel community spaces, which will be clearly communicated to participants. It is the responsibility of participants to be aware of and comply with these rules.

Zero Tolerance for Harassment

The Uxcel community is committed to a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, race, or religion. Harassment in any form is not tolerated.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

- Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neurodiversity, physical appearance, body size, age, race, or religion.

- Unwelcome comments about a person’s lifestyle choices and practices.

- Deliberate misgendering or use of incorrect names.

- Inappropriate sexual images or behavior in spaces where they're not suitable.

- Unwanted physical or simulated contact.

- Threats or incitement of violence.

- Stalking, following, or harassing photography or recording.

- Sustained disruption of discussions.

- Unwelcome sexual attention.

- Inappropriate levels of intimacy or continued communication after requests to cease.

- Outing a person’s identity without consent.

- Publication of non-harassing private communication.

Respect Others

Uxcel prioritizes the safety of marginalized individuals over the comfort of those in privilege. Complaints regarding “reverse”-isms, reasonable boundary communication, tone disagreements, or criticism of oppressive behavior or assumptions may not be acted upon.

Be Honest and Transparent

Members of the Uxcel Community are encouraged to engage authentically, without anonymity or pseudonyms. We value open, honest discussions and expect community members to report behaviors inconsistent with this Code of Conduct.

No Confidential Information

Confidential information should not be shared within the Uxcel Community. While we advocate for openness and transparency, confidential corporate information should not be disclosed.

Not a Marketing Channel

While we welcome participation from all, including partners, the Uxcel Community is not a platform for overt promotion of products or services. Community monitoring helps maintain a trusted, useful environment free from self-promotion and spam.

Reporting

Incidents of harassment can be reported to support@uxcel.com. If a team member is involved, they will recuse themselves from the process. We take all reports seriously, including harassment occurring outside our spaces or at any time. We may exclude individuals based on past behavior, and reserve the right to reject reports made in bad faith or to silence legitimate criticism.

Confidentiality requests to protect victims of abuse will be respected. We may publicly or privately name individuals involved in harassment to protect community members or the public, but will not name victims without their consent.

Consequences

Participants are expected to cease any harassing behavior immediately upon request. Uxcel reserves the right to take appropriate action against those who engage in harassment, including expulsion from community spaces and public identification as a harasser.
